Carrot Ginger Apple Juice

  • 3 large carrots
  • 2 apples, quartered
  • 1 2″ piece fresh ginger root

What a fantastic way to use some of the tastiest and sweetest autumn produce!  This zippy homemade juice has only 3 ingredients, but it has tons of nutrients and can be made either with a juicer or food processor.

Wash all ingredients thoroughly and don’t peel them (skins and cores provide high nutritional value).  Juice all ingredients through a juicer.*  If you are adding nutritional additions to your juice (e.g. spirulina, protein powders, etc.), add them after juicing in the quantities suggested on the package.

*If you don’t have a juicer, don’t worry!  You can make fresh juice by adding your ingredients to food processor with ½ cup of water.  Pulse until your ingredients are totally turned to pulp.  Pour the pulp through a mesh strainer and using a wooden spoon or rubber spatula, press as much juice as you can out of the pulp.
