HL Café’s Sesame Broccoli Salad

  • 8 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 1/2 tsp garlic, minced
  • 1 1/2 tsp fresh ginger, minced
  • 1 Tbsp + 1 tsp maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup white sesame seeds
  • 1/4 cup black sesame seeds
  • 1/4 cup tamari soy sauce
  • 2 Tbsp sesame oil

A tasty way to prepare one of nature’s most nutritious vegetables!  With bright ginger, sweet maple syrup, and deep sesame flavors, this salad promises to become part of your regular rotation.

In steamer basket over simmering water, steam broccoli florets until tender, about 4 minutes.  Remove to ice bath to stop cooking process, transferring to colander or paper towels to drain when cooled.  In large bowl, make dressing by whisking together remaining ingredients.  Add broccoli to dressing, stirring to combine.
