Herb and Parmesan Meatballs
- 1/2 lb ground pork
- 1/2 lb ground beef
- 1/2 lb ground veal
- 1 small onion; minced
- 5 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 Tbsp fresh oregano; minced
- 2 Tbsp fresh basil; minced
- 1 egg; beaten
- 1/4 cup Parmesan; grated
- 1/3 cup breadcrumbs
- Salt and pepper; to taste
- Vegetable oil; as needed
This delicious and simple meatball recipe pairs perfectly with pasta and red sauce, on a sub, or even by itself!
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Using hands, blend together meat, onion, garlic, and herbs until well incorporated. Add egg, breadcrumbs, and salt and pepper and mix well. Form into balls 1 1/2 -2 inches in diameter. Bake in oven until cooked through; 20-25 minutes.
