Homemade Ricotta Stuffed Shells with Marinara Sauce
- 1 box large pasta shells; cooked to al dente and drained
- 1 Recipe Marinara Sauce
- 1 Recipe Homemade Ricotta
- 1/4 cup prepared pesto or fresh chopped herbs
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 3 cups grated mozzarella cheese
- kosher salt and fresh cracked black pepper; to taste
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. In a mixing bowl combine the prepared ricotta cheese with the pesto or herbs, parmesan, and season to taste with salt and pepper. Prepare a baking dish by spreading a small amount of marinara on the bottom to keep the pasta from sticking. Stuff each shell full with the ricotta mixture and place seam side down in the pan. Continue with all shells and top evenly with marinara. Top the dish with cheese and bake until golden brown and bubbly.
